Having a history of being cultivated in the region of the AMBA area, the butterfly pea is recognized for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. The flowers are gathered, dried, and blended with Amba’s famous lemongrass. The final concoction is vivid blue in colour and incorporates a citrus flavour equivalent to our lemongrass. With a few drops of citrus or any other acidic liquid the blue colour transforms to an alluring purple hue. It is a delicious and refreshing tisane that is also a phenomenal mixture for cocktails and mocktails.
