Think, the nature has seen civilizations rise and fall, thousands of kings and queens rule, experience the sun and the rain, weathered all storms and yet, here it is, in all its glory, the nature still providing us the food, the shelter, the life we need to live. Therefore, we don’t own any part of nature, nor do we have the right to destroy it to our gain, hence, it is our responsibility to leave the world better than we found it”
We are all unique individuals of this world playing different roles within the time we have on Earth. As co-founders of Ceylon Tea Story, we present to you our role here, to attempt in the little way that we can, to leave this world a better place that we were born into. So, this is the story of our journey. In fact, this story is Ceylon’s finest story ever told.
Ceylon Tea Story is about doing business for the right reasons and doing it the right way. In other words, it is about celebrating our artisans and their communities, recognizing the craft of artisanal tea making and giving mother nature the respect it deserves. Our goal is bigger than ourselves and we invite you to be a part of this journey and help us write the narrative of our story.
We are inspired by the tea crafters we work with to bring forth the best tea, Ceylon has ever offered. Behind all our luscious teas lies the often-unsung heroes who carefully handpick and craft the finest teas. Each tea is individually handled with care throughout its process, pledging a cup of tea beyond par excellence. This means we know exactly where all our tea is grown, who grows it and who crafts it. Bestowing respect to the craft, we contribute to the community by recognizing these unsung heroes for their hard work and dedication.
Preserving and respecting nature is as important to us as creating a rich cuppa. Bestowing respect to mother nature, the tea gardens we work with make sure that the natural environment is cared for. In other words, this means that these tea gardens plan and design their course of actions such as organic farming to minimize environmental impact, all while restoring natural habitats and ecosystems.
Seeing the beauty and depth of artisanal tea, our ambition is to revitalize how Ceylon tea is experienced by the rest of the world. Everything that goes into our teas comes straight from mother nature and crafted with utmost care ensuring the highest of quality.
