“Pittu-Bambuwa” green tea is a classic green tea that is crafted by plucking one leaf and a bud. The leaves are steamed in a traditional bamboo rice steamer, immediately after the leaves arrive from the field. Then the leaves are gently rolled by hand in a ‘kulla’ basket and consequently dried in a wok. Offering a classic grassy, vegetal flavour with a slightly oceanic-umami nose and bittersweet aftertaste, the “Pittu-Bambuwa” Green tea is a sensational and significant tea in our range of tea varieties.
